Philodendron tenue is an epiphytic plant that is native to Nicaragua and the Pacific slopes of Venezuela. They have deep green leaves and each leaf has a rippled texture. The leaves can grow up to 3 feet long attached to a petiole and can grow up to 11-41 inches long depending on the growing conditions of the plant.

Here are some care tips to help you keep your Philodendron Tenue healthy and thriving:

Light: Philodendron Tenue prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate low light, but it may not grow as quickly or produce as many leaves. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Do not let the soil completely dry out between watering, but avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Philodendron Mamei loves high humidity. You can increase humidity by placing a humidifier near the plant or by placing a tray of water near the plant. You can also mist the leaves regularly to help increase humidity.

Temperature: Philodendron Tenue prefers warm temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Keep the plant away from drafts and cold windows.

Fertilizer: You can fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the dormant season (fall and winter).

Pruning: You can prune the plant to control its size and shape or to remove any damaged or yellowing leaves. This will also help promote new growth.

Repotting: Philodendron Tenue grows slowly and doesn't require frequent repotting. Repot it only when the plant has outgrown its pot. Use a well-draining soil mix and a pot that is one size larger than the current pot.

Pests: Philodendron Tenue can be prone to spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects. Inspect the plant regularly and treat any pests promptly with an appropriate insecticide.

Soil: Philodendron Tenue prefers a well-draining soil mix that is rich in organic matter. You can use a mixture of peat moss, perlite, and potting soil to create a soil mix that is well-draining and nutrient-rich.

Picutre of actual plant, will be sent bare rooted in moss.
