A miniature, jewel form of Begonia that resembles Begonia Maculata's polka dot pattern. Native to Borneo. It is named Amphioxus because this means pointy on both ends, and its leaves are exactly this.

Leaves are bright green with scarlet red polka dots. Whilst this plant's individual leaves remain small and delicate, its stem can grow up to 75cm in height.

Light: Begonia Amphioxus needs bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch its leaves.

Water: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between watering.

Humidity: Begonia Amphioxus prefers high humidity. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves, using a humidifier, or placing a tray of water near the plant. Thrives in terrarium or cabinet.

Temperature: Begonia Amphioxus prefers temperatures between 60-80°F (16-27°C).

Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix that retains some moisture but doesn't stay soggy.

Fertilizer: Fertilize every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant fertilizer.

Propagation: can be propagated through division in the spring or summer.

Pruning: Remove any yellow or damaged leaves regularly to keep the plant healthy and encourage new growth.

Toxicity: Begonia Amphioxus is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so keep it out of reach of children.
